Description
Ptychopetalum (Muira Puama) is used as a tonic and aphrodisiac. It is considered as a valuable remedy for impotence. The bitters of the bark have high astringent value and are used as gargle for sore throat. It is also reported to be anti-diarrhoeal and helps in dysentery. Reference 1. W.
