Genista tinctoria MT

Genista tinctoria MT is indicated for diarrhoea, earache, frontal headache, which is worse on motion and better in open air or by eating. It is also indicated for dry throat and water-brash. It is useful for itching eruptions on elbows, knees and ankles, specially at the folds consisting of roundish dark-red confluent spots, scarcely elevated above the skin. It promotes diuresis in dropsical conditions. Genista, as proved by “Cushing” can find homoeopathic application in sharp piercing pains in the head and ear, brain is felt loose and sensitive. Research reports cover diuretic, emetic, laxative, sudorific, useful in dropsy, nephrosis, rheumatism and cancer. Its active principle Genistein has been found to possess many pharmacological effects like antioxidation, activation of estrogen receptor beta, contraction of several types of smooth muscles, anthelmintic, preventing atherosclerosis, anti-cancer, etc. Reference 1.
