- Ocimum sanctum is indicated for children who are forgetful, peevish, and prone to constant weeping. It’s also helpful for mental confusion, difficulty concentrating, and states of drowsiness, with the patient sometimes sleeping while talking.
• Neuralgic Headache and Toothache
- This is helpful for headache as if a nail is driven into the head, where relief is felt with pressure. It also helps with toothaches that improve by pressing the gums together.
• Nasal Discharge and Sore Throat
- It is indicated when there is foetid pus or blood coming from the nostrils, and can also help with sore throat conditions.
• Gastrointestinal Disturbances
- Ocimum sanctum is useful in managing diarrhea, particularly when it occurs with high fever in children. The stools can be foetid, watery, yellow, clay-colored, or green with mucus or blood. It can also help with involuntary urination and stools during a fever.
