Lobelia inflata, commonly known as Indian Tobacco, is a powerful homoeopathic medicine prepared from the fresh flowering plant and the dried leaves of Lobelia inflata, a plant native to North America belonging from Lobeliaceć family. It is a vaso-motor stimulant that increases the activity of vegetative functions, working primarily through its action on the pneumogastric (vagus) nerve.The medicine produces a depressed, relaxed state in the system, often presenting as oppression of the chest, epigastric discomfort, nausea, vomiting, and impeded respiration.
