Description
Kalmia latifolia is a powerful homoeopathic medicine prepared from the fresh leaves of the flowering plant Mountain Laurel, also known as American Laurel or Calico Bush, native to the rocky, sterile hills near water in the New England States. This medicine, belonging to the Ericaceæ family, is known for its deep action on the musculoskeletal, nervous, and cardiac systems. It is particularly useful in rheumatic conditions with shifting pains, neuralgia, and cardiac complications, and it is often accompanied by nausea and a slow or irregular pulse. Kalmia also aids in conditions marked by numbness, paralytic sensations, visual disturbance, and urinary complaints following scarlet fever.
