KALI CARBONICUM

Kali carbonicum is a deeply acting constitutional homoeopathic medicine derived from Carbonate of Potassium, belonging to the mineral kingdom. It is particularly well-suited for conditions characterized by marked muscular weakness, sharp stitching pains, and general coldness or collapse, especially in people who are aged, anxious, sensitive, and have a tendency toward dropsy or degenerative states. The hallmark of this medicine is stitching pain that may occur anywhere in the body and is often relieved by motion, distinguishing it from many other medicines. It also plays a critical role in disorders related to the lungs, heart, digestive system, and female reproductive organs, especially after childbirth or miscarriage.

Mental Irritability and Despondency

• Kali carbonicum is suited for irritable, despondent, and obstinate individuals, hypersensitive to noise, pain, or touch.
• Helpful in fearful, restless patients who dislike being left alone and experience anxiety in the stomach.
• Alternating moods, sadness followed by cheerfulness, with imaginative fears.

Headache and Swelling over Eyelid

• Indicated for headache from exposure to cold wind or while riding in a vehicle with nausea. Vertigo while turning.
• Stitching pain in temples, loose feeling in the head, and dry, falling hair.
• Swelling between eyebrows and over upper lids (“bags under the eyes”).
• Feeling of painful sensation of light penetrating the brain. Straining of eyes.

Mucosal Irritation

• Stitches in eyes, black spots or gauze before vision, sticky eyelids, and weak sight after sexual excess.
• Itching, ringing, and roaring in ears; stitching earaches.
• Chronic nasal catarrh, with yellow thick discharge, sore scurfy nostrils, and ulceration inside the nose.
