CANTHARIS

Cantharis, commonly known as Spanish Fly, is a homoeopathic medicine derived from the insect Lytta vesicatoria. Belonging to the Meloidae family, it has been traditionally valued for its therapeutic properties in treating urinary and skin disorders, particularly those involving inflammation and vesicles. In homoeopathy, Cantharis is primarily used to address symptoms such as cystitis, severe burning during urination, and vesicular skin conditions. It is also employed for its effects on relieving intense burning pains, promoting healing of burns and scalds, and conditions aggravated by touch, cold and night.
