DIOSCOREA VILLOSA

Dioscorea villosa, is a deeply acting homoeopathic medicine prepared from the fresh root of Wild Yam (Dioscorea villosa) or its resinoid form, Dioscorein. Belonging to the Dioscoreaceæ family, this medicine is especially recognized for its powerful influence on the abdominal and pelvic viscera. Dioscorea is well-suited to individuals with feeble digestion, chronic flatulence, and colicky tendencies. It is highly beneficial in gallstone colic, intestinal pain, neuralgia of the stomach, and radiating pelvic or renal pain. • Marked rumbling in abdomen with expulsion of large volumes of offensive flatus.

Belching and Stomach Neuralgia

• Belching of sour, bitter, or offensive gas, often with hiccough.
