Description
Digitalis is a powerful homoeopathic medicine derived from the Digitalis purpurea plant. Belonging to the Scrophulariaceae family, it is primarily indicated in conditions involving cardiac dysfunction, especially where there is irregular, weak, or slow pulse and symptoms of cardiac failure. It acts profoundly on the myocardium, supporting the heart in conditions of dilatation, auricular fibrillation, and dropsical states. This medicine is especially relevant in cases of heart conditions following rheumatic fever, and also supports liver function, urinary complaints, and respiratory distress related to cardiac weakness.
