Mezereum is a deeply acting and valuable homoeopathic medicine prepared from the bark of the Daphne mezereum plant, commonly known as Spurge Olive. It exerts a strong influence on the skin, bones, and nervous system, making it particularly useful in chronic inflammatory skin conditions, neuralgias, and affections of the long bones. This medicine is highly indicated in eczema, ulcerating skin eruptions, bone pain, and facial neuralgia, with symptoms marked by burning, itching, and shooting pain, often aggravated by cold air and at night. Skin Eruptions & Bone Affections

• Highly useful in eczema with intolerable itching, with chilliness, especially worse at night and in bed.
• Useful in ulcerating eruptions covered with thick scabs, under which purulent discharge collects.
• Indicated in chronic skin eruptions post-vaccination or after suppression of eruptions. Red face with eruptions around mouth associated with coryza.
• Relieves burning, darting pains in long bones, especially the tibia, with marked aggravation at night and from touch.
• Supports cases of bone inflammation, caries, exostosis, and periosteal pain—particularly in damp weather or at night. Decaying of the roots of teeth.

Neuralgia and Nervous System

• Excellent medicine for violent facial and dental neuralgia, often shooting toward the ear and worse at night.
• Neuralgic pain is shooting, drawing, and may cause patient to feel lifted from the bed.
• Useful in ciliary neuralgia, especially following eye surgeries, with cold sensations and radiating pain.
• Relieves subsultus tendinum (twitching of tendons), often linked to nervous irritability and pain.

Headache and Scalp Eruptions
